New Eternal Darkness coming?

Nintendo of America have applied to renew their copyright for the name Eternal Darkness, the title of the classic Gamecube horror game from Silicon Knights, according to Kotaku. It might not mean anything, it might mean that it will be released as a New Play Control-game, it might mean there is a sequel in the works...who knows? Probably someone at Nintendo, but they are not talking.
