The FIFA community is a particularly vocal one, and as the huge player base has grown accustomed to the various systems, even the slightest balancing issue makes a big impact. One of these on-going issues has been AI defending capabilities, where it's generally been found that the AI is too efficient in seeking out and stealing control of the ball.
This has led to players letting their AI teammates defend for them, which quickly became the more efficient strategy. EA has now fixed this in a new title update, and in the patch notes EA says they've "made some changes to reduce the effectiveness of defending by AI Teammates."
They've for example reduced the distance an AI teammate can stretch to block an incoming shot, and the distance they can stretch to make a successful tackle.
It's too early to say whether these changes have made the defending balance stable, but what do you think?
