New maps and guns arrive to Killing Floor 2

As announced via Steam and the Killing Floor 2 website, Tripwire Interactive's shooter has received a brand new content pack called The Descent, giving new content to PC and PS4 players.

"The Descent Content Pack features the namesake map, the Descent, which is an all-new type of map never seen in Killing Floor 2 before," the website explains. "The Descent map introduces the new Holdout sub-mode into Survival and will drop players into a new random battle location each wave, making them vulnerable to the horrific Zeds hoping to catch them off-guard. In addition, as a show of its commitment to their devoted and talented fan base, Tripwire has included the community-made Nuked map into its official line-up."

The two new weapons are the Spitfires, flare gun revolvers that can be used single or dual wield, as well as the Stoner 63a LMG. This isn't all though, as there's new trophies, and a 33% discount on the PlayStation store for players who have yet to buy the game, not to mention a free trial week on PSN. Steam also has a similar offer, with 50% off starting tomorrow, and a free weekend this weekend too.

Tripwire also announced that there's a 25% off sale on Tripwire merchandise on their store with promo code ZED.
