It's been just around two months since Nioh's first expansion, Dragon of the North, so you might have managed to familiarise yourself with the new weapons and Yokai. Want some new content then? Team Ninja has you covered.

They've announced that the Defiant Honor expansion will launch on July 25 and cost €9.99/£9.99 (or included with the season pass). As revealed in January, this expansion will take us to Osaka Castle, the largest and most impregnable castle of the Sengoku era.

As tensions brews between the Tokugawa and Toyotomi clans, Sanada Yukimura prepares his men for imminent conflict against the Tokugawa's forces by building a stronghold called the Sanada Maru on the outskirts of the Osaka Castle. With the castle fortified, Tokugawa's forces are faced with a difficult and bloody challenge. What better time for William to appear?

William, accompanied by Tokugawa ally Date Masamune, head towards the wintery Sanada Maru in pursuit of Maria, and suddenly finds himself right in the middle of this legendary conflict. Fortunately, this makes for a perfect opportunity to try out his new Tonfa weapons, armour, magic items and guardians spirits against new kinds of Yokai and other kinds of enemies in new environments and missions. Not enough of a challenge for you? The expansion also includes new difficulty levels and trophies that hopefully ups the challenge.

Nioh: Bloodshed's End

REVIEW. Written by Markus Hirsilä

"Gathering and tuning loot to your liking is still one of the main attractions in Nioh. Considering how difficult Bloodshed's End is, it's also mandatory."
