The day after tomorrow, that being Friday, February 26 (at 16:00 CET/15:00 GMT), there's another Nintendo Direct, but with important differences in terms of both format and content.

The so-called Pokémon Direct broadcast will last just about five minutes, and Nintendo is teasing that it'll bring "news on Pokémon games" -
coming from the European arm of the company (although the event will be global, with parallel editions in both America and Japan at the very same time - and it's from the latter that we know about the brevity of the show).

Meanwhile, the Pokémon PR team is announcing that "big Pokemon news is coming!"

With Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon just launched for 3DS, Pokkén Tournament around the corner for Wii U, and the new creature Magearna unveiled just a couple of days back (and besides Red/Blue/Yellow classics on Virtual Console), this is starting to look like the announcement will be the first proper teaser for a new main entry for the series, so far known with the tentative title of Pokémon Z amongst the community (after the highly successful Pokémon X/Y). Besides, Nintendo mentions "celebrating 20 years of Pokémon", which looks like the perfect time for such an announcement.

Gamereactor will keep an eye on related developments, and we'll update you as and when we know more.
