New PvP mode added to Nioh

It won't quite be the same as PvE though.

Team Ninja has added a new PvP mode to Nioh in the game's latest free patch, and update 1.16 also fixes some bugs, adjusts the balance, and raises the level cap to 550 on top of this.

Players searching for PvP battles can now choose between Skill or Strength, however, in the former players all get the same gear, so it's all about how good you fight, not how good your stuff is. Guardian Spirit protections will be active in this, but Passive Skills, Prestige Titles, Mystic Arts, and Crest Boons are all disabled.

Last week the second DLC, Defiant Honor, also added a new area with new weapons and enemies to the game, so it's a pretty good time to be a fan of Nioh.

Is PvP your cup of tea?

Nioh: Bloodshed's End

REVIEW. Written by Markus Hirsilä

"Gathering and tuning loot to your liking is still one of the main attractions in Nioh. Considering how difficult Bloodshed's End is, it's also mandatory."
