Our latest session for Gamereactor Academy airs this evening, and features Swedish artist Wiktor Öhman, who'll give a basic introduction to 3D modelling and texturing, and show how his skills have increased over his career.

The artist worked at Ubisoft Massive as as junior 3D artist on the multiplayer section of FarCry 3.

"Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to be involved in making video games, just like so many others," he explains. "When I was younger, video games were almost something magical. I had no idea how they were made, and I had no idea what the industry looked like. It wasn't until I was to choose my line of education at the age of 19 when I picked up a flyer for a school called School of Future Entertainment when I realised that you could actually go to school to learn how to make video games. This was in early 2007. I got in and I had a blast. I worked my butt off all my waking hours and it was paying off......"
