During a press tour panel for the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills yesterday, programming executive Cindy Holland confirmed that the hit show Stranger Things won't return until summer next year.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Holland said the new season will be bigger and better than the last one.

"It's a handcrafted show. The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it's going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait."

In March we learned that the new season will focus on the relationships between Eleven and Mike, and Mad Max and Lucas, in addition to building more on Steve's unexpected "Dad Magic."

"We'll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I'll just say we won't be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don't want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve," Levy said.

It's going to be a long wait, but it will hopefully be worth it. And while you wait for a proper trailer, you can check out this adorable little teaser here.

What are your expectations for the third season?
