Nintendo announced today that the online portion of the Wii U exclusive, Devil's Third, is no longer being supported. This includes the game's microtransactions, which will stop on Monday (so stock up while they have a closing down sale, if you're so inclined). Nintendo is also cutting the price of the game from $60/€60/£50/¥7,236 to $30/€30/£25/¥3,618. The sale comes into effect this Thursday.

On December 28, Nintendo will also be pulling the plug on the game's servers, effectively killing Devil's Third online mode. The campaign, however, will remain fully playable. There has been no explanation from Nintendo as to why this has happened, but we can assume it's purely due to lack of interest from players.
