No EA Sports MMA for Danes

EA Sports MMA won't be released in Denmark, and the reason may surprise you. There is a law prohibiting advertisement of energy drinks in Denmark, and since EA Sports MMA features in-game product placement, and advertising on fighter clothes and in the arenas, the game will not be released in the small Scandinavian kingdom.

An EA representative gave us the following statement:

"We are adhering to laws in Denmark that restrict the use of energy drink product placement in-game, and therefore are not shipping EA SPORTS MMA in that region. Our game authentically recreates the sport of MMA in every facet, including energy drink in-game sponsorships on fighter shorts, gear, and in fight venues."
