Last year Game Freak and Nintendo released two Pokémon Let's Go games that remade the adventure of Pokémon Yellow, along with new 3D visuals and a battle/catching system similar to Pokémon Go (in fact, you could link your progress over the two games), although don't expect more of these games soon.

Lead producer Junichi Masuda recently spoke to Eurogamer about all things Pokémon, but when asked about those adventures with Eevee and Pikachu, he said we won't be seeing more for now:

"So, at the moment there's no particular plans, but if the fans really like it then definitely keep those voices coming out to the Pokémon Company and Nintendo, and make sure we hear them! [Laughs] We wanna hear those comments!"

Let's Go did help with the development of the upcoming Sword and Shield though, as "early on there were a lot of comments that it was too easy, or it was kind of a bit too "kid-focused" and that sort of thing. That sort of comment is something you see, and you take on board, and really try and base improvements in the next game on the feedback you received from the last one."

REVIEW. Written by Kieran Harris

"It may struggle to strike the perfect middle ground when appealing to casual and veteran players but it still represents the series at its most accessible and interactive."
