Fire Emblem fans should be very excited, as a new game in the series called Three Houses is due to land on Nintendo Switch on July 26, and now director Yoshiyuki Kusakihara has revealed in an interview with Jeuxvideo that we can expect a fair bit of content from the upcoming release.

As translated by Stealth on Twitter, Kusakihara said that it took him 80 hours to beat one of the House Paths in the game, without skipping any of the cutscenes. The director didn't clarify whether this includes many side quests and activities, but that's still a hefty amount of game for your money, and we're also told that clearing all of the House Paths (of which there are three) could take us 200 hours.

The last game we got in the Fire Emblem series was Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia back in 2017, and in that same year we also received Fire Emblem Warriors, so fans will no doubt be pleased to get into the action on Switch this month.

REVIEW. Written by Stefan Briesenick

"The crazy and over-the-top story will surely appeal to anime fans, especially if you spend some of your time following the narratives of the other houses."
