The official Twitter account for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been busy with a thread updating fans on the next expansion for the MMO, called Onslaught, as revealed at the celebration event in Chicago.

Creative director Charles Boyd says: "Now that Darth Malgus is back, he's commanding the Sith fleet in a devastating attack on the Republic. It will be up to players to stop him—or help him."

Onderon has also been revealed as the first planet, and Boyd added: "Onderon is another beloved Old-Republic era world. Vicious monsters, blaster-toting barbarians, scheming nobles, this planet has it all!" Mek-Sha is coming too, which is "the crossroads of the galaxy, a lawless port full of smugglers, gangsters, refugees, and cargo runners all trying to scrape by in a time of war," according to Boyd.

A Flashpoint is also coming set on the planet of Corellia, and Dxun will host a new Operation as well, with Nautolans coming on as a new playable species, so there's plenty to see with Onslaught. Even experienced players have a lot to look forward to, as 75 is the new maximum level, with every Advanced CLass receiving a new ability as you level up.

What's more is that Onslaught brings with it tweaks to gear, not to mention set bonuses, a new item type, and more. "Spoils of War is our plan to make gearing out your characters more fun, more accessible, and more customizable than ever before," Boyd explains.
