OP Live Dallas reveals teams for collegiate Overwatch event

16 teams will battle it out in front of Dallas Fuel players and staff.

Esports event OP Live Dallas - running from September 22 to 23 in Irving, Texas - has revealed the full list of teams competing in the collegiate Overwatch tournament on the first day, which will include all of the competition up to the awards ceremony after the final.

16 teams will face off in the event powered by Dallas Fuel and Team Envy, and invited players will get the chance to play in front of pro players Hyeong 'Effect' Hwang and Min-seok 'OGE' Son, as well as coach Aaron 'Aero' Atkins, assistant coach Justin 'Jayne' Conroy, and general manager Mat 'Tazmo' Taylor.

Teams from the following colleges will compete at the event:


  • Baylor University

  • Colorado State University

  • Mississippi State University

  • New Mexico State University

  • Oklahoma State University

  • Oklahoma University

  • Southern Methodist University

  • Texas Christian University

  • Texas Tech University

  • Texas Wesleyan University

  • University of Arkansas

  • University of Louisiana at Lafayette

  • University of Mississippi (Ole Miss)

  • University of North Texas

  • University of Texas Arlington

  • University of Texas at Dallas

The event will take place at the Irving Convention Center and will include the Bounty Royale Brawl too, with Fortnite, a Hackathon, and meet-and-greets adding to the fun, not to mention Powered Talks with representatives from Dallas Fuel, Team Envy, and other figures in the industry.
