Josh "Eqo" Corona has been fined $2,000 USD and banned from competitive Overwatch for three matches after an incident in a stream the other day where he made a gesture with his eyes and told viewers "I'm a Korean."

With the Overwatch player not being distinctly not Korean, many people took offence at the thoughtless racial slur.

On top of his fine, Eqo has apologised on Twitter as well as committed to donating another $3,000 to the Anti-Defamation League.

His team, Philadelphia Fusion, has revoked his streaming priveledges for ten weeks (which, frankly, sounds like the kind of punishment you might hand out to your kids for doing something stupid) and has matched his fine and donation, bringing the total being given the Anti-Defamation League up to $10,000.
