New data from the Overwatch League has revealed that Season 2's opening last month gathered more than 13 million people watching in its first week, with tickets also being sold out for the competition's opening week too.

Viewership was up year-on-year globally for the first week's matches, and for the second week there was a 40% increase year-on-year in terms of global average minute audience. There were also viewing parties across the world, including in London, Paris, Dallas, Shanghai, and more.

The infographic below breaks down some of this data, including the fact that matches were watched in over 190 countries across the world. Can the Overwatch League continue to maintain its popularity?
