A brand new Overwatch tournament that is set to begin next month has been announced, and it will be available to anyone in North America who plays Overwatch, should they wish to enter. The tournament is called the Overwatch Winter Premiere and is being presented by Next Generation Esports.

After a short online qualifying period of four days, the top eight teams from the qualifiers will play in three weeks of Double Round Robin group play, followed by two days of live finals at some point in January of 2017. The event is being run in collaboration with Blizzard to ensure that the Winter Premiere is fully produced, directed, and broadcasted to a high standard.

Any teams who wish to sign up must do so on the Winter Premiere website at some point before 10 December, when the qualifying stages begin. If you fancy yourself a decent Overwatch player based in North America, then you could be in with the chance to win a share of the $100,000 US dollar prize pool. Do you expect big things from this tournament?
