LVR Studio Ltd has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for their open world FPS multiplayer game, Pangaea: New World.

Taking inspiration from games such as Stalker, Metro 2033 and Rage, the team is promising to combine genres in unique ways to "make players rethink the depth and breadth of an action-orientated first person shooter game."

Set in a post-apocalyptic universe, Pangaea: New World will have RPG elements, characters customisation and competitive multiplayer features. The game will have a strong focus on survival. Players will be required to build better weapons and equipment to endure its brutal world, which can be explored solo or with friends.

Other key features include dynamic quests, a role-playing system, economy and trade, a huge landscape with a complex ecosystem, smart AI monsters and thirty-player co-op.

The campaign has a minimum funding goal of $250,000 which must be reached by December 25. It's being developed using Epic's Unreal Engine 4 and, should it reach its target, will be released on PC, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One.
