Pathfinder: Kingmaker has had a bumpy start on PC, but seems to appeal to more and more players over time. Therefore developer Owlcat Games has announced how they want to proceed with supporting their role-playing game in the months to follow. By April 2019, three extensive add-ons will be introduced, and the first DLC is planned for early December.

On December 6, The Wildcards (€7.99) introduces the so-called Tieflings, according to Oleg Shpilchevsky, head of Owlcat Games, this playable class is eagerly expected by fans. In the press release, Shpilchevsky writes that these creatures carry a "touch of demonic blood" in their veins, which most certainly leads to some unsightly encounters. In addition to the Tieflings the press release is talking about an extended hero class - the Kineticist. What she or he can do is not yet known, but it will get their own narrative thread players can follow throughout the game.

Varnhold's Lot (€11.99) is the second add-on and currently scheduled for February next year. The extended scenario introduces the ruler of Varnhold, Maegar Varn, who, after our intervention in the Dunsward region left his empire to his own problems, now want us to repent for what was done. According to the press release, Varnhold's Lot offers content that will last for around twelve hours.

In April, Beneath The Stolen Lands (€9.99) will bring a new game mode to Pathfinder: Kingsmaker, throwing our heroes into an endless dungeon. This challenge is randomly generated (whether procedural or initiative is not yet known) and can be played both from the Campaign and as a stand-alone game mode from the main menu.

A Season Pass (€24.99) will contain all this content and will be released together with The Wildlands on December 6th.

REVIEW. Written by Roy Woodhouse

"The story was a bit generic and the technical issues somewhat frustrating, however, looking beyond that, I enjoyed the rest of my quest."
