Crimson Desert is one of the many games Pearl Abyss has shown off recently, as they seek to expand their portfolio past Black Desert Online, and now we have a selection of brand new images showing us the game in action.
This game is going to be an MMORPG, and started as a project to tell the story of Black Desert Online's history, eventually being adapted to its own thing with fresh lands, narratives, and characters as development went on.
Macduff is the main character of the game, son of Martinus, and he leads a band of mercenaries, struggling with the responsibility that comes with being a leader. He'll be traveling through Pywel, and each character has their own stories to tell, affecting decisions they take and the gear they have.
Despite being an MMO, this does have single-player content with a big campaign, albeit with multiplayer experience aligned with traditional MMO experiences.
Pearl Abyss is aiming for a beta test for PC and console in 2020, and for more on the game check out the website.
Can this be as good as Black Desert Online?
