People Can Fly would love to return to the Bulletstorm IP

But first, the studio has plenty to do on Outriders, the new game that was announced last month at E3.

People Can Fly are hard at work on Outriders, a new game that the studio is making for Square Enix (which owns the IP), but when the team is ready for something new, it sounds like they'd like to return to Bulletstorm.

This comes from none other than company CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski, who said as much to Eurogamer in a recent interview.

"We are, as you can see [with the remaster and the Switch version], still holding this IP deep in our hearts," Wojciechowski said. "We want this IP to have its second life. We're still not sure what that means but obviously since this is our IP - we own the IP - and the IP is known and has its fans, we would like to do something about it.

"There are no immediate plans to come back to this IP, taking into consideration our current effort on Outriders, but if we think about PCF in the longer-run, then obviously it would be awesome to come back to this IP.

"We just need to think about how to make sure the audience will be bigger than [that of the original], and that's something we would need to work a bit more on going forward with this IP If, we decide to ever come back to it!"

IP ownership was clearly a theme of the interview as Wojciechowski also confirmed that Square Enix owns the IP to the studio's upcoming game, Outriders, which you can read more about here.
