Atlus and Koei Tecmo unveiled Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers yesterday, and much to everyone's surprise it's actually the first game in the Persona series to explore Musou or Warriors-like gameplay.
In the trailer, which you can watch below, you can see combat involving hundreds of shadows all at once, which is exactly the kind of thing you'd expect to see from a game by Omega Force, a studio which has a long history of collaboration when bringing its particular brand of action-packed gameplay to new franchises.
A release date for The Phantom Strikers hasn't been revealed just yet, however, we do know that it will eventually be released for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, in Japan (and presumably over here as well).
Previously, the mysterious Persona 5S was thought to be a Nintendo Switch port of the fantastic RPG, however, it seems that Atlus has other plans for the Persona franchise, with this reveal coming after Persona 5: The Royal was unveiled early this week.
