It was weird that Pro Evolution Soccer had been adding legendary players from FC Barcelona for two years now but it hadn't got the most influential figure in the history of the club. We're talking about Hendrik Johannes "Johan" Cruijff (or simply Johan Cruyff), who will finally be playable in Konami's game.
The official announcement just happened with the trailer below, and the Dutch icon will be signable on My Club Legends "soon" for both the main game and its Lite version. Starting today, however, he shows up oi PES Club Manager.
The legend stats are yet to be confirmed, but the footage reveals it's the early 70's version of the player, when he played for Barça and collected several Ballon d'Or. Additionally, his signature dribbling trick, the "Cruyff Turn", will be available in-game for players to try out.
The trailer recalls one of the best-known quotes from the Total Football style creator, as well as his memorable goal against Atlético de Madrid in 1973:
