For the very first time ever in the PES franchise, Turkey's Süper Lig will be part of the game this season.

The Süper Lig is the eighth new top-flight division to be confirmed for PES 2019. Konami has permission to feature all 18 competing clubs and they will be represented in correct kits, and all stats and squads will be updated weekly.

Süper Lig was established in 1959, and features clubs like Galatasaray A.Ş., Fenerbahçe A.Ş., Beşiktaş A.Ş. and Trabzonspor A.Ş. It is regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the world, and has only been won by five teams.

Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu has been secured as a local ambassador to celebrate the inclusion of the Turkish league (even if he hasn't played their himself). He has scored 51 goals in 192 league appearances in Bundesliga and Serie A, and will appear alongside PES 2019 global cover star Phillipe Coutinho on a special Turkish packshot.

"Turkish football is blessed with the most fantastic level of support and for many years we have had request after request that we add this dynamic league to the PES series and that moment has finally come," said Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development via press release. "We are delighted to secure the Süper Lig for inclusion within PES 2019 and will ensure that the passion and skill that shines from every game will be perfectly recreated. All 18 teams will be fully realised, and we look forward to showing our efforts in the coming months."

"The PES series is known for its skill and control, so I am very happy to be representing such a fine simulation of the modern game," said Hakan Çalhanoğlu. "Turkish football is exciting and skilled, so I look forward to seeing Konami's skilled teams bringing it to life for everyone at home."</em>

PES 2019 lands on PS4 and Xbox One on August 30th.
