As you might know already, AMD has been an important partner for both Microsoft and Sony in the creation of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One architecture, and it's been all but confirmed that they'll remain so with the upcoming next generation of consoles.
During the CES expo in Las Vegas recently, AMD hosted their annual conference, and it was here that Xbox boss Phil Spencer further cemented the two company's collaboration going forward.
AMD CEO Lisa Su welcomed Spencer onto the stage, where he stated that AMD is critical in the creation of "future platforms", probably referring to the next Xbox generation:
"As we look forward to future platforms that we're building and work that we're doing, the partnership and the innovations that we've seen in the past have led to what we've been able to do today, I think they're going to be critically important to our future endeavors. I'm really looking forward to showing those to people more in the future."
Microsoft is expected to formally announce the next Xbox sometime this year. Have you got high hopes?
