Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has been mysteriously absent on consoles for a while, originally launching in May 2018 for the PC. Devoted console players won't have to wait too much longer, however, as the sequel to Obsidian's classic RPG will be released for both PS4 and Xbox One next month, or on January 28, to be more precise.

It's also coming out alongside an Ultimate Collector's Edition, including a copy of the game with all the DLC included, along with a few extra goodies for fans to obsess over like a keychain with a pig on it and a sticker, all of which you can see here.

The most prominent object is the 10" Od Nau statue, which depicts the beginning of the game, showing the god Eothas thrashing about in the waves with a boat in it. It's quite an expensive collector's edition, however, costing £120.

Currently, there's no information regarding the Switch version, but since you can play the first Pillars of Eternity we imagine it shouldn't be too far behind, hopefully.

We were quite fond of Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire in our review, praising the updated game mechanics and user customisation. Otherwise, the series seems to be on hold after Josh Saywer discussed making a third game after low sales.

Gamereactor actually spoke with Lance James about these console ports a while back, and you can see the whole conversation here.

Will you be picking up Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire for your console?
