Another announcement made at Paradox Interactive Convention last week was Nitro Games' Pirates of the Black Cove. After having released a couple of more serious simulation style games, East India Company and Commander: Conquest of the Americas, the developer wanted to be able to use their imagination a bit and therefore they chose to do a more fantasy-based take on the hay days of pirates. The arcade style ship battles will let you shoot heat seeking missiles and cluster bombs and the characters you command will also fall on the lighthearted side of things.
As of now there are no actual in-game screens, just a bit of concept art. The game will feature seamless action, and there will be ship battles as well as land action. Pirates of the Black Cove is being targeted for release early summer on PC.
