Just a week after the launch of Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon - it landed on November 17 and has already sold more than 1.2 million copies in just three days in Japan - we've been told some interesting facts about the total number of shipped copies across the entirety of Game Freak's enduring series.
The Pokémon Company announced today that the series has officially exceeded the 300 million units shipped worldwide. It's an impressive feat, especially when you consider the entire franchise accounts for 76 titles, starting from February 1996 and running until now. These numbers take into account not only retail copies, but also digital sales, so it's very likely that the actual number of copies sold will not be far from those shipped.
