Pre-order digital downloads continue to become the norm for Xbox One (how's that HD space looking?), as Project Cars pulls up to pre-release grid.

That's the news from Microsoft's Major Nelson, who's flagging the availability to download Slightly Mad Studios' new racer now, with the game unlocking at midnight on its release date.

If you were thinking about picking it up anyway, it may be worth your while: the pre-order nets you an additional three limited-run custom machines via an extra Modified Car Pack - the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, Ariel Atom 3 Mugen, and the all-new Ruf CTR3 SMS-R.
