Last month saw a lot of Pride celebrations take place around the world to celebrate those in the LGBTQ+ community, since June was Pride month after all, and this autumn you can keep the celebrations going with IV Productions' game Pride Run, hitting Steam and tasking you with organising your own Pride Run.

Well, it's more about keeping the party going than handling the realistic logistics, and if you lose the beat the crowds might disperse. This shouldn't be too hard with Hard Ton's disco-metal fusion though.

"We're a diverse development team, and many of us have been lucky enough to attend different Prides around the world. We felt it was about time someone took the sheer energy, passion and extravagance that emanates from these celebrations of LGBTQ+ culture beyond attendees and out into the wider world," says Ivan Venturi, CEO and Game Director of IV Productions. "Players who successfully grow their parades will then be tasked with taking on a boss in a one-on-one dance duel, with the victor taking control of the city - and, in the end, the world."

"At its heart, Pride Run is a celebration of Pride events around the world," adds Jonny Merritt, Head of Developer Relations at Green Man Gaming Publishing. "The game focuses on rhythm, taking the beat that defines many a march and making it a foundation of play. We think the fun nature of what is definitely a light-hearted, celebratory take on the Pride movement will translate well with gamers across the globe. As part of the launch of the game, Green Man Gaming is exploring ways of supporting LGBTQ+ rights charities who we feel are aligned with our inclusivity and diversity values. More exciting news to come."

The game is being co-developed with Steam Factory, and as you can see from the announcement trailer and screens below, it's got a pixel art style packed with colour. There is the Vanilla and Play Hard modes to choose, and in the latter you'll have to choose who you want to fight "those who question LGBTQ+ rights". You can also see a figure that looks suspiciously like Donald Trump down below, and check out the Steam page here.

"It's vibrant, it's bold, and it's a joy to play, which makes the messages inside all the sweeter."
