The aim is to "bring attention to some issues like being more inclusive, and so that's even more than just the LGBT community".

Pride Run was revealed earlier this year, and at Gamescom we learned more about the LGBTQ+ game when we talked with art director Giacomo Guccinelli, game director Ivan Venturi, and Mauro, who's responsible for music.

After giving us a bit on their background as activists, participating in the community they're representing, we asked about the politics of a game like this.

"Yes, we want everybody playing the game, and mainly our idea, even if we have a lot of content that you can [interpret] politically, our aim is to produce a beautiful game for everybody," Guccinelli said.

"It is definitely a game for everybody," Mauro added. "We just wanted to bring attention to some issues like being more inclusive, and so that's even more than just the LGBT community at the end, you know. And we wanted to bring this into a game which is, at the end, still a game, so we are not talking in the name of the LGBT community around the world of course, that would be a little bit too pretentious."

REVIEW. Written by Sam Bishop

"It's vibrant, it's bold, and it's a joy to play, which makes the messages inside all the sweeter."
