Do you remember Project Hardcore? If you don't, we don't blame you, but back in 1994 Swedish developer DICE (known for their Battlefield series) promoted their upcoming game Hardcore. The game was being developed for Commodore Amiga, Sega Mega Drive, and Sega Mega-CD, and was 99% finished, but then the new and powerful Sony PlayStation came with its 3D graphics, and so Hardcore was never released.

But now it's time, as Strictly Limited Games have announced on Twitter that Hardcore will be published on PS4 and on PS Vita in 2019.

This revived version has a working title Hardcore, and is being developed using the "original Sega Mega Drive development hardware" (much like fellow retro game Tanglewood). The new game will also feature "the missing tank levels" and will launch in 2019 both physically and digitally.

You can read more about the project right here, and watch the trailer below. Do you remember it though?
