Ever since the Kojima-Del Toro Silent Hills project got canned by Konami and the horrifying P.T. demo was withdrawn, the stir it caused among the community has inspired many indie devs to try and create something of a similar nature.
That's the reason behind several projects that have been pitched via crowdfunding campaigns, one of which has gone on to be a success story, Visage. The team at SadSquare Studio are happy because the game has been funded in 12 days, after surpassing the $25,000 USD mark. Now the team is asking for more money as they want to bring the game to consoles and VR platforms:
And we're just getting started! We still have a month to go in the Kickstarter, and we hope we can keep the support going. Every single dollar that comes in will go toward making Visage a bigger and better game.
Want to see Visage for PS4 and Xbox One? That's the first stretch goal. Want to play it on VR and never sleep again? The VR goal is in sight!
Want more antagonists, a bigger world, Visage in your language? It's completely up to you. Your support helps make Visage the horror game that you want to see.
Here's a bunch of screens from a project that looks like it's already coming together nicely, and you can also see the twelve minutes of alpha gameplay in the attached trailer:
