Quake Champions becomes free-to-play permanently

Quake Champions has been a success for id Software and Bethesda Softworks, but now the amount of active players is about to sky-rocket because it was announced at the QuakeCon 2018 keynote, that the game will be free-to-play permanently.

The game initially had a free-to-play beta and was again free during E3, but now it seems Bethesda is making a permanent move.

Additionally, they've discounted the character pack which unlocks all the available characters in the game for $19.99. A great time to jump into Quake Champions in other words.
