Quake Champions is free if you download it this week

Bethesda announced that Quake Champions will be available to download for free until June 18 during its E3 Press Conference.

Up until this week the game was around $30 on Steam Early Access (although there are cheaper ways to buy into the game), although it is set to be free-to-play at launch. If you download it this week, however, you will have access to the game for free from now until forever.

Announced last year, Quake Champions brings the classic, fast-paced gameplay to a new generation of first-person shooter fans. Bethesda has a lot of support planned for turning Quake Champions into a competitive esport which they laid out to some degree in their conference.
