Rainway is a new streaming software for games that will launch this year for users to play PC games on several platforms, and while the idea isn't new, what surprised many is that it supports both Xbox One and also the Switch. Given Nintendo's usual reluctance in terms of external outputs, they'd now be allowing people to play games not made for their console both on the TV and on the go.

When creator Codeusa was asked on Reddit whether Nintendo was at all on board with this concept, he simply and clearly replied that "it will be available on the Nintendo eShop", implying complete allowance. We also know that some open-source pieces of the software will allow for external contributions such as customised virtual controller layouts.

Rainway promises full 60 FPS support as long as the device's GPU is at least DirectX 11 compatible, and no additional hardware is required. It's entering beta next month, and to find out more about it you can check out the official website. Do you like the sound of this?
