Ranked mode, which was included within the Valorant's closed beta, will soon be arriving for all users, allowing them to more effectively pair with players of the same skill level. This new addition should help to level the playing field - preventing new players from facing off against skilled veterans with tens of matches under their belts.
Valorant's Game Director, Joe Ziegler, said on Twitter:" Hey everyone, It's been hectic, so I haven't had a lot of time to post. To answer the biggest question: rated (competitive mode) will likely be out some time next week. We're spending this week putting together that release and making sure it is good".
If Ranked mode is to continue the same as in the closed beta then, it will take 20 matches to unlock and will consist of eight ranks: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Valorant. Higher ranks, much like in other competitive titles, can be obtained based on your performance and poor performance will work towards decreasing your rank.
