We met up with Jonas Antonsson to speak about their publishing strategy and more.

Raw Fury Games are an Iceland-based indie publisher that have quite the repertoire under their belt, despite being only a few years old. The games they have helped out with are Kingdom, Kathy Rain, and the recently released roguelike 2d platformer Gonner (a review is in the works).

Ahead of the release of Gonner and their next game, the insane twin-sticks shooter Tormentor X Punisher, we had a chat with Jonas Antonsson at Slush Play in Iceland about their games and their core philosophy as a publisher, as well as how they work with their developers.

"We're 5 people, and all of us have been have been around for quite a while in this industry." Antonsson told us. "When it comes to games, we don't have any sort of portfolio strategy, and Raw Fury is founded on the principle of being a 'for happiness' company. And that doesn't only extend to us, but also the people that we work with."

This 'for happiness' strategy means that Raw Fury will only work with games that they feel passion for, and in return, they will give "great partnerships, that are filled with trust and integrity, honest and openness". So far, their strategy seems to be working well; even though they have only had a few games published, each and every one is unique and they are all good in their own right.

Raw Fury have recently put out Gonner, which is available now on Steam; as are the publisher's other games, Kingdom and Kathy Rain. If you want to check out our full interview with Antonsson, simply look below!

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"It might be overly vague, it might be frustrating at times, but it's also pretty damn good."
