A while back Jade Raymond joined the team at EA Motive to not only provide assistance to DICE and other EA studios on select projects but also to create new, original content. The studio is working on both a Star Wars game and something completely new, and now we know that a bit about Raymond's thoughts surrounding the second project.

In an interview in the latest edition of MCV, Raymond explains that the new IP must have a positive impact above all else, and while her previous projects during her time at Ubisoft, such as Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs, touched on different ideologies, she wants something else for this new IP.

"With Assassin's Creed, we were trying to enrich people's lives and have a message. Being able to inspire people to think a little more about history and maybe get excited about that and look into different countries and maybe get some enrichment there. There were some messages also about the original assassins and their different beliefs and 'nothing is true, everything is permitted'. We touched on different ideologies there.

"With Watch Dogs we spent some time thinking about that too, but with this new brand, I really want to create a positive story about humanity. That's really important to me."

Raymond also admitted that she feels like science-fiction is an obvious genre to achieve this, as "it's a great highlighter of the human condition. It makes people think about where we're going, why we do things, what are the things that are fundamentally true about humanity."

Maybe we'll see more at E3?
