Rebellion to honour Woolfe Kickstarter rewards

The British studio snatches up the IP and commits to campaign promises.

The beautifully (but darkly) rendered platforming action-adventure Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries became reality some months ago thanks to fan support and money on Kickstarter, but later Belgian studio GRIN filed for bankruptcy in August and the whole project ended up frozen, including both the second chapter of the adventure and the shipment of the physical goods promised to original backers.

Now, in an unexpected turn of events, the Oxford-based studio Rebellion has just announced the purchase of the IP and they're willing to ship the missing rewards (such as art books, posters and a boxed edition) as soon as possible.

"If a backer hasn't received the reward they pledged for, we're going to do our best to get it to them, even if we have to make it ourselves", says Jason Kingsley, Rebellion's CEO and Creative Director.

However, there's no word yet on what the studio is planning to do with the game series itself, or whether they will actually develop the second volume with the same style and design of the first.
