Described by Rockstar as "an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience" found in Red Dead Redemption, the Red Dead Online experience will launch in November, initially as a public beta, following the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26.

For now Rockstar Games are keeping the exact details of the online component close to their chest, offering only general statements such as "blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways". They have, however, confirmed that Red Dead Online will feature "constant updates" and that will "grow and evolve" over time based on feedback from players.

In some ways, Red Dead Online mirrors the GTA Online launch then, only that it will be an actual beta at first, and Rockstar does warn that there will be some growing pains early on as the beta kicks off: "As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch." You'll need to own a copy Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 or Xbox One to play Red Dead Online, but we kind of figured that already.

Are you excited to see what Red Dead Online offers this November?
