What has quickly become a standard for games of a certain caliber, is the many individual pieces of scored music designed to queue in when something specific happens, whether that's entering a new area, initiating combat, or contextually through missions. That's certainly also the case in Red Dead Redemption 2, where Rockstar is taking it above and beyond.
As noted in our preview, which is based on our hands-on time with the game at an exclusive event in Copenhagen, Rockstar confirmed that the upcoming game has 192 individual pieces of scored music.
That was already in full effect during the demo, where almost every action was tied to musical queues of some kind. Through missions and on your own in the open-world, the game acknowledges the player. It was not revealed who the composer is, but we've heard that Woody Jackson is the main composer, with Bill Elm and others pitching in. Guess we'll have to wait until the credits roll once Red Dead Redemption 2 lands on October 26 to find out for sure.
