As the year is approaching its conclusion the number of new major video game release is down to a gentle trickle. But there are still some games and DLC drops you need to factor in to your planning...

December 17 - Nippon Marathon the Japanese TV show multiplayer runner exits Early Access on PC and hits consoles (PS4, Switch, Xbox One). The rather excellent Firewatch hits Nintendo Switch.

December 18 - Massively ambitious MMORPG Ashes of Creation is nowhere near its full launch, but on this day we're getting Ashes of Creation Apocalypse, a standalone combat arena (including Battle Royale) experience that will let you sample the combat and help Intrepid test out various features for the main game. Asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Last Year: The Nightmare hits PC (exclusively first on Discord Store). Sheltered is hitting Nintendo Switch and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 arrives on PS4. Hardcore online survival game Miscreated finally exits Steam Early Access for full release after more than four years.
