Releasing This Week: Sep 17-23

In what's a surprisingly slow week in an otherwise hectic September InXile's The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep and Transference headline the games about to get their release. Nintendo also finally ushers in their online solution for the Switch, and The Gardens Between could be an indie title deserving of your attention.

September 18 - Robot Gentleman's "dark comedy sci-fi adventure" 60 Parsecs! Arrives on PC. VR adventures blind arrives across PC and PS4 (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PSVR). Announced at last week's Nintendo Direct, Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle offers a sweet selection of 7 side-scrolling brawlers from Final Fight to Captain Commando (PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One). Fishing Sim World (which does what the name implies) arrives on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Jet Set Radio inspired parkour game Hover was released on PC back in May 2017, but arrives on PS4 (Sep 18), Xbox One (Sep 19) and Switch (Sep 20) this week. Scribblenauts Mega Pack bundles the Scribblenauts Unlimited and the DC flavoured Scribblenauts Unmasked on PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep arrives on PC from InXile Entertainment. The horror-themed narrative adventure Transference comes out on PC, PS4, Xbox One with VR support for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PSVR. The excellent Undertale arrives on Nintendo Switch.

September 19 - Nintendo launches Nintendo Switch Online in Europe (the day prior in North America). After 18 months in Early Access free-to-play car combat MOBA Heavy Metal Machines is fully launched.

September 20 - The retro-inspired action-RPG CrossCode leaves Early Access on Steam after more than three years. The Slater is a game that mirrors Hitman, expect here it's personal as Mark Slater goes after those murdered his father and are responsible for a new and dangerous drug (PC). Star Control Origins is the somewhat controversial reboot of the franchise from Stardock (PC). The Gardens Between is a rather lovely narrative puzzle adventure that arrives on PC, PS4, and Switch.

September 21 - Petroglyph's decidedly old school RTS title 8-Bit Armies arrives on PS4 and Xbox One. Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse arrives on Nintendo Switch, an ideal platform for latest chapter in Revolution Software's adventure series. My Brother Rabbit is a surreal and beautifully drawn puzzle adventure that arrives on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One on this day.
