Gunfire Games' post-apocalyptic action game Remnant: From The Ashes has turned out to be a success story for the developer, as it was just recently announced that the game has surpassed a whopping 1 million units sold since its launch in August of this year. The news comes from Gunfire Games' October dev update post on the official Remnant website, where the studio details the roadmap for what's to come and the games' upcoming hardcore mode.

Those looking for a tougher challenge can hop on into the hardcore mode that is releasing tomorrow on October 31. When experiencing the mode, a players' character will only have one shot and once dead, the character will be gone forever. There are some perks to creating a hardcore character, however, specifically rewards from Hardcore world bosses that will drop some new rings with "powerful effects" that will be available across your character library, hardcore or not, once you've obtained them.

Check the roadmap and the hardcore trailer out below or read more about the coming updates here.
