It sounds like Ubisoft is going all-in for the sequel.

Last night's announcement of The Division 2 gave us information regarding the development of the game, which is being helmed by Malmö-based Ubisoft studio Massive Entertainment, with the assistance of no less than five (!) other studios.

Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest are also devoting their time to the sequel and, according to Kotaku, Ubisoft Sofia is also pitching in on the development.

According to a Gamereactor source close to the project, over 1,000 people are right now working on The Division 2, which would make it the biggest Ubisoft game of all time. When reaching out to Ubisoft Nordic PR with this information they told us that this is "a rumour that they choose not to comment on".

Beyond a few whispers, we don't know all that much about The Division 2, but the game will be shown at this year's E3 in June, so stay tuned for that.

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
