According to a new report from ESPN the majority owner of NBA team Golden State Warriors Joe Lacob and Kirk Lacob (his son) have been accepted into the NA League of Legends Championship Series as new franchise owners, according to alleged sources close to the Lacob family and Riot Games.

The move to franchise the NA LCS was announced earlier this year, and according to ESPN the Lacob application was consulted on by Catalyst Sports & Media, as well as other parties, with Catalyst also consulting on other deals like Madison Square Garden Company's stake in CLG.

Considering this is just a report right now, we have to take it with a pinch of salt, but it doesn't seem too far-fetched considering applications were due back in July. Do you like the idea of a franchised NA LCS?
