The highly-anticipated Resident Evil 2 remake is on the horizon, throwing us back into Raccoon City once more, and a lot of fans are licking their lips in anticipation of the newly revitalised horror experience. Despite the fact that it's not even out yet, we might be getting more content after release, at least according to a recent interview with game director Kazunori Kadoi and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.

Speaking to SaudiGamer at a press event in Dubai (and brought to us by Wccftech) the pair said that the possibility of post-launch DLC was being talked about at Capcom, but that there was nothing to announce yet.

Both Kadoi and Hirabayashi also confirmed the existence of easter eggs from other Resident Evil games as well, including from the newest Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

It's safe to say that the buzz around Resident Evil 2 is high, especially since the one-shot demo has been downloaded over 2 million times and streamed all across the internet. There are only a few days to wait until we get the full release, and of course stay tuned for Gamereactor for our own thoughts coming soon.

Just recently a report on ResetEra brought to our attention that the Ghost Survivors content update for Resident Evil 2 had been announced at the launch event stream. This doesn't have a date yet, but we know it's a new mode letting you play as multiple characters with an in-game shop, random elements, and a replayable appeal. Robert Kendo and Katherine and playable, with more to be revealed, and it sounds as if this is just one of the options they're considering at Capcom.
