The multiplayer mode for 2012's Ridge Racer Unbounded is no longer available in Europe after publisher Bandai Namco shut down the arcade racer's servers.

"The publisher and developer wanted to take this opportunity to thank, once again, all the players for their support of Ridge Racer Unbounded throughout the years," read the official statement.

"From now on, Solo mode 'Dominate Shatter Bay' and the track editor 'Create My Cities', minus the online sharing options will remain fully playable."

Ridge Racer Unbounded launched back in March 2012, appearing as it did on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

"High speed, generous drift, smooth visuals and possible a little gimmick or two to spice things up - Unbounded ticks them all."

Ridge Racer Unbounded

PREVIEW. Written by Gillen McAllister

"There's liberal exuberance in its two-ton metallic flings; exciting in its voraciousness, but suitably bizarre in the extremities in which drifts play out."
