League of Legends developer Riot Games has announced that they have entered into a new multi-year partnership with Dell Alienware, who is now coming on board as the Official Competition PC and display partner for both the League of Legends Championship Series and European Championship (LCS and LEC), as well as the Mid-Season Invitational, North America vs Europe Rift Rivals, the All-Star Event, and World Championship.

"We've been continually impressed with Alienware's unwavering commitment to elevating the gaming and esports experience through their focus on product performance, function, and design," said Naz Aletaha, Riot Games Head of Esports Partnerships. "As our official PC and display partner, Dell and Alienware, with their extensive expertise in hardware and technology services, will help us continue to level up the sport -- setting a global performance standard for the hardware that powers it."

Aurora R8 computers and 240Hz monitors will be provided as a part of this, improving the screen refresh rate for players. SupportAssist is also coming with each setup, which can detect and prevent technical issues before they impact a match, all of which is being used to "ensure that the best professional players in the world, competing in the largest esport in the world, have the absolute best technology powering their competitions."

As you might have expected, this partnership is also bringing new activations, as well as VIP seating and other surprises that fans can expect throughout the year, starting with the LEC on January 18 and the LCS from January 26.
